Through office-generated programs and close collaboration with the undergraduate Schools and campus partners, Penn First Plus endeavors to offer timely events that address the questions and needs of first-generation and lower-income undergraduates. Higher Learning: Maximizing College in the Age of Intelligence

Join P1P on Tuesday, September 16, for a conversation with Dr. Brian Peterson, Director of Makuu, and author of Higher Learning: Maximizing Your College Experience. This conversation will talk about the insights into college life Dr. Peterson provides in his book, and engage in critical questions about how the current landscape of economic and technological change may be shifting the advice we might offer students in the future. Dinner provided. Free copies of Higher Learning will be available upon registration. This program has been funded by the SNF Paideia Dialogue & Engagement Grant.
Students unable to join us for the dinner dialogue should still sign up! Dr. Peterson will also be hanging out in P1P on Friday, September 26, from 3-5pm for casual conversation with individual students who want to share their insight.
